4K (Finally) Arrives on the Apple TV

Apple finally catches up with Roku and Amazon by releasing the Apple TV 4K on September 22, 2017. The new Apple TV supports 4K HDR at 60Hz, and up to 4:2:2 Chroma. Thanks to Apple's negotiating power, 4K pay-per-view movies are $19.95, about $10 less than the other services (last time we checked), but many new titles are still HD-only. Only thing missing from this streamer is Amazon Prime Video, which we were expecting a while ago, after Tim and Jeff patched up their differences. We particularly like the Aerial screensaver running in all its 4K HDR glory. Our go-to streaming platform. Highly recommended. $179 for the 32GB version.
